Bon Beignets du Bandon

Sunday night dinner brought a delightful donut dessert.
Pat and I ate at The Loft in Bandon, OR. Food was good and the small restaurant was packed.
Little did we know that our dessert would be warm, cinnamon sugar coated beignets. Two dipping sauces complemented the dazzling donuts.

Sitting in Gold Beach. The fog is heavy and surrounds me like powdered sugar encases a fresh cake doughnut. More donut news to come…

  1. And in MO there is a cacaphonus chorus of cicadas caroling in our backyard! The grass and trees are still a verdant green which is unusual for August.

  2. Well…I could describe the joys of listening to a chorus of frogs in our pond I suppose. That is, if I could hear them πŸ™‚ Instead, today we’ve been engulfed in the sounds of road crews and all their equipment as they patch potholes and seal cracks in preparation for resurfacing our street. Not to mention that a Davey Tree crew was also here, pruning tree limbs away from power lines and feeding them into a chipper. Tomorrow is probably the day they will jack-hammer a section of curb and gutter that needs replacing. Ah! Suburbia! The good news is that they stopped at 4:30.
